Our Nursery Mix is an all purpose soil mix for outdoor use. It contains Top Soil, Garden Compost and Fine Redwood Amendment. You can spread it out over an existing soil and turn it under wherever you need to raise the grade and improve your soil. Our Nursery Mix can also be used for raised beds. If you are growing vegetables we recommend using either the Essentail Soil Landscape Mix or the Lyngso Vegetable Blend. For vegetables the Nursery Mix will need either an aplication of organic fertilizer like Down To Earth-Bio Fish or All Purpose or a 2" application of Diestel Structured Compost worked into the top 6"-8" of the raised bed. Lyngso Veggie Blend is a ready to plant blend of Top Soil, Diestel Structured Compost and Fine Redwood Amendment.  The Top Soil provides some minerals and clay and will help the soil retain moisture, the Diestel Structured Compost is a composted turkey manure filled with life and food and the Fine Redwood Amendment is a redwood sawdust that will break down very slowly over time and help keep the soil open and aerated.

It is a good general mix for all veggies, a light application of a balanced organic fertilizer like Down to Earth All Purpose or Doctor Earth All Purpose or Eco-Hydro Fish All Purpose Liquid Fertilizer will be good once or twice during the growing season after the plants are established. 

Our Potting Mix was designed with containers in mind. Fill your containers with Potting Mix and plant. Potting Mix can also be used as a soil amendment. Spread it 2-3 inches over the planting bed and mix it in with the existing soil. We sell Potting Mix in one cubic foot bags, we supply the bags, you fill them. For large areas you'll want to purchase the Potting Mix by the cubic yard. We can load your truck or for a fee you can rent one of our dump trucks or have us deliver the Potting Mix to your home or job site.

An engineered soil mix designed not to compact, excellent drainage properties and resists erosion. Will support good root growth, has a biological activator and nutrient package. Under most circumstances no additional organic fertilizer necessary for one year. Ideal for raised beds, berms, container planting, and great for growing succulents. Be sure to mulch after planting.

Rhododendron Mix is a mixture of Fir Bark, Red Lava, and Nursery Mix. Amend your planting hole with equal parts native soil and Rhododendron Mix. For areas with heavy clay soil plant the Rhododendons a little higher than the grade. This will provide better drainage and aeration. Use Top Soil when you need to raise grades or fill in areas over four inches deep. Our Top Soil is a screened sandy loam. In areas where you are going to be planting fill in with top soil up to 3" from the top of the grade, use Nursery Mix to top off the grade and mix the Nursery Mix in with the Top Soil.
